Betsy Holt has written, edited, and/or project managed nearly 100 nonfiction books—many of them award winning—for high-profile corporate clients, nonprofits, major cultural attractions, and academic institutions. As an editor, Betsy helps ensure each client’s unique voice comes through in their story. She has edited many books written by Russ Banham, including the anniversary histories of Harvard Business School, Bosch, Hawaiian Airlines, and Harbor Foods as well as the two editions of The Fight for Fairfax.
Betsy’s diverse client list includes the U.S. Capitol Visitor Center, Smithsonian American Art Museum, San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance, Disney, Mississippi Power Company, Amgen, Lionsgate, PGA Tour, Gettysburg National Military Park and Museum, The Alamo, Longwood Gardens, The Henry Ford, and Washington National Cathedral.
In the trade publishing world, Betsy has edited and project-managed books on leadership, business, personal development, entertaining, faith, and parenting. In addition to her nonfiction work, Betsy has edited dozens of fiction titles for both adults and children.
As a project manager, Betsy oversees all aspects of the creative process from book conception to completion, managing each project’s authors, designers, and editors while acting as the liaison between corporate clients and creative teams. She also provides creative input on design and layouts and does photo research when needed.
